Ricky was raised in church and after getting married he started to slowly walk further and further from GOD ....time went on and after divorce he started singing in the honky-tonks. Ricky started winning numerous singing competitions in country music, and having high hopes for a country music following
Ricky realized his life was not going so well. After parting ways with band members who were seeking worldly approval, Ricky turned to GOD, asking what he should do with his life. Ricky ask GOD what he (Ricky)could do for him (GOD).
Two weeks later that prayer was met.
Ricky met a gentleman by the name of Leon Joplin at a gas station in the small town of Buffalo Gap, Texas. Ricky commented on his travel trailer and truck, at which time Leon shared his story and love of Christian Country Music......"He has no idea how he changed my life. After handing Ricky two of his CD's, Ricky liked them so much he recorded Leon's song "Simply Ask"...(that's the song you hear playing).. Ricky is now married and has completed his second cd called "Outside the Box" BUT.....................
First and foremost Ricky wants to help those that have walked away from GOD ,just like he did at one time in his life, and to help those that are lost to a path toward Jesus Christ............
